In the heart of Africa, deep in The Rift Valley of Kenya and Tanzania, The Maasai People have a culture even more rich than the colors they wear. While following the same traditions for thousands of years, The Maasai are realizing the modern age is catching up to them. With a source of income and an education, they can learn how to thrive while preserving their beautiful culture.  

Tumaini Volunteers and Marafiki Community International are teaming up to assist a rural village near The Maasai Mara Game Reserve Park.  85 miles west of Nairobi, Nkorero is home to 200 people, including 11 families. A community center will help the community flourish through practices of sustainability.
